Exciting News: A New Home for the 38th South West Cheshire Scout Group!

We are thrilled to announce some significant and positive news for all our members. After a period of careful consultation with our scouts, parents, and leaders, the 38th South West Cheshire Scout Group is moving to a new home!
We listened to your feedback and have actioned a move that will enable all our members to access a full and exciting programme, with safe indoor and outdoor areas perfect for Scouting activities and learning experiences.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Reaseheath College
We want to extend our immense gratitude to Reaseheath College for their unwavering support over the past four years. They have been a fantastic home for us, and we are thankful for the support they have shown to our group and the wider Nantwich community. It is with a heavy heart that our time there comes to an end.
Our New Home
From the start of the new term on Monday, 8th September 2025, we will be operating from:
Nantwich Youth & Community Centre, Birchin Lane, Nantwich.
This move, fully backed by our trustees, leaders, and parents, will be for an initial 12-month period to ensure it is the perfect fit for the future of our group.
Important: Changes to Meeting Times
Please take note of the updated meeting schedule, which will be effective from 8th September:
- Beavers & Cubs: (No Change)
- Day: Monday
- Time: 18:00 – 20:00 (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- Scouts: (New Night!)
- Day: Monday
- Time: 19:00 – 21:00 (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Please note the important change for our Scout section, who will now also meet on a Monday evening to accommodate the new venue.
Please Bear With Us
As with any new adventure, there will be a settling-in period. The first few weeks may be a little hectic as we all get to know the new building, manage the crossover of sections, and navigate the throughput of cars in the car park. Your patience and cooperation as we find our feet will be greatly appreciated.
We are incredibly excited about the opportunities this new venue will bring and can’t wait to welcome you all to our new home for a year of adventure, learning, and fun.
